From the recording lifelines
This song is responsible for my daughters birth. Music creates life. One of the best songs we have recorded as a band. Sacramento, Citrus Heights off of Birchwood Cir. The best times in our lives..it was 2005 when this was recorded. I cant wait to re record this one! Brian "Shizmo" Pickering on Drums and Hosa Thomas on Bass.. I love these guys like brothers. and I hope they can rejoin Monotone Sickness in the Future.
Lyrics
The snow is cold
but it burns my soul
If you tried to reach me
your soul would turn bloody
and I remember what it was like to be young
There is nothing i can say
that would turn today into yesterday
so fuck it
we might as well
Celebrate
Now that you find a way to get back at me
your guilty conscience and insecurities
while walking the dark
on a leash I made of leaves
my soul escaped me
tried to teach me the things that i never seen
so i laughed and continued crying
if i could be the man who could see his plans
well then I guess I would be surviving
Celebrate
Celebrate
celebrate
celebrate with me
It helps me escape my pain
If it were you , you would do the same.
Celebrate
Celebrate
Celebrate
Celebrate with me
for all the love we had
for all the times we killed
for all the pain we shared
for all the fights weve healed
didn't you know I cant
I cant stand the pain
I would much rather hold you
tell you I love you today
Celebrate
